On November 30, at the “Refugees’ Gathering” hosted by the Asia Welfare Education Foundation (FWEAP),Harmony Sisters Network was honored as a refugee women–led organization. This recognition marks a significant milestone—not only for me, but for our entire community.
When I first began this work, raising my voice as a woman was far from easy. There were challenges, doubts, and many moments when stopping would have been the simpler choice.Yet, for the future of our children, and for a society where women can believe in their own strength,I kept moving forward—step by step, steadily and quietly.
The journey has been long, but this award is not the goal.It represents the beginning of a new chapter.
We envision a future in which refugee communities are not viewed only as “recipients of support,”but as active contributors—people who lead, uplift others, and create lasting impact within society.
Guided by this vision, Harmony Sisters Network will continue progressing, empowering women and strengthening our community from within.
To everyone who has supported us on this journey:thank you from the bottom of my heart.Your encouragement makes all the difference.
