'Restoring Balance'

A new environment often brings with it an inevitable sense of imbalance—whether it’s unequal access to information or emotional instability. These challenges are diverse and deeply personal. We are committed to addressing these imbalances head-on, offering empathetic and practical solutions. Our support goes beyond simply providing information; we stand beside individuals every step of the way, offering continuous guidance and accompaniment until balance is restored.

Bridging Communities Through Food and Friendship – Picnic 2025

On Saturday, May 24, 2025, we held the Harmony Sisters Network picnic at Tsutsuji Park in Tatebayashi. We were blessed with beautiful weather, and around 80 people joined us for a warm and joyful gathering. Rohingya and Myanmar community members, along with Japanese supporters, families, and children, came together to share homemade food, enjoy songs and games, and spend a relaxing day in nature. It was a truly heartwarming experience filled with smiles and meaningful connections across cultures and backgrounds. Thank you so much to everyone who participated and supported us.

HSN in The Asia Friendly Festival

November 2024

The Asia Friendly Festival hosted by the Asian Education and Welfare Foundation resumed this year, and I had the honor of representing the Rohingya and Myanmar Muslim communities! We showcased children’s stage performances, offered experiences with traditional Thanaka makeup, and hijab trials. Thanks to the collaboration and daily efforts of the Harmony Sisters Network members, it turned out to be a wonderful event. Grateful for this experience!

Yonezawa International Festival

July 2024

We participated in the Yonezawa International Festival! We had a wonderful time meeting children of many different nationalities and introducing our cultures to each other. During the food introduction, we performed paratha, which we have been familiar with since childhood. The giant paper sumo match was also very popular! It was a valuable opportunity to learn about the culture and history of Yonezawa while also experiencing the culture of other countries. In addition, they also enjoyed a private hot spring bath for three days!

PotLuck Party in Tatebayashi

June 2024

We had a great potluck party in Tatebayashi! Alhumdulillah.

It was a day full of good food, laughter and joy. It was a warm welcome to see so many smiling faces and happy children enjoying the day. The event was a beautiful example of cultural exchange between the Rohingya community and their Japanese friends.

We were honoured to be joined by about 100 people, including the SAL group from Keio University, professors, students and well-wishers. Their help with our educational support projects is invaluable.

Thank you so much to everyone who participated and supported us! Your presence made today a truly special day. Let's continue to build understanding and friendship through these wonderful gatherings.
